Marianne Kah is an Adjunct Senior Research Scholar and Member of the Advisory Board at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy. She is also an Independent Director of PGS and Allegheny Technologies. She had been the Chief Economist of ConocoPhillips for 25 years where she was responsible for developing the company’s market outlooks for oil and natural gas, and was the company’s expert in scenario planning.

Prior to ConocoPhillips, Ms. Kah was the Manager of Corporate Planning at Cabot Corporation and a Senior Analyst in the Policy Development Group of the Synthetic Fuels Corporation. Prior to that she was a Policy Analyst at the Energy and Minerals Division of the GAO where she led various energy policy studies for the U.S. Senate Energy Committee and House Fossil and Synthetic Fuels Subcommittee.

She has been a frequent presenter and panelist at international energy forums and conferences and has participated in U.S. energy policy studies, including those by the National Petroleum Council and the BiPartisan Policy Center.

She is the Past President of the U.S. Association for Energy Economics and is co-chairing the Energy Roundtable for the National Association for Business Economics. She has also chaired the American Petroleum Institute’s Committee on Economics and Statistics.
