Monica Enfield is Managing Director of Research & Advisory, an independent arm of Energy Intelligence that provides clients with detailed analysis and retainer services on key trends affecting the global oil and gas industry. Key focus areas include strategic trends in the global petroleum market, country risk dynamics and competitive analysis.
Throughout her career, Ms. Enfield has worked extensively on corporate strategy analysis. She manages the Business & Competitive Intelligence retainer service and advisory engagements that assess corporate strategies and growth trends of key international oil and gas companies. Ms. Enfield is also focused on above-ground risk issues impacting regional, country and project-level investments. An African specialist by background, Ms. Enfield leads the country risk practice on that region, with specific expertise in African national oil companies, local risk assessment and strategy development.
Prior to working at Energy Intelligence, Ms. Enfield was the Director of Country Risk at PFC Energy, managing client offerings on national oil strategies and country risk. She has also participated in a number of external task groups, including contributing to a chapter on energy security in “US Africa Policy Beyond the Bush Years: Recommendations for the Obama Administration” with the Center for Strategic International Studies in Washington, DC.
Ms. Enfield has a BA in Political Science from California State University, Stanislaus and earned an MA in Arab Studies from the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University.
