Neill Tannock is an Energy Intelligence Research Analyst. Key focus areas of Energy Intelligence Research include the energy transition, corporate strategy and competitor intelligence, oil and gas/LNG markets, and aboveground risk.
Neill primarily supports Competitive Intelligence Research, conducting analysis of evolving corporate strategies and competitive landscapes in the energy sector. In addition, he heads up Africa coverage in Risk Research, specifically sub-Saharan Africa, while also contributing to analysis of wider global industry trends, with a focus on global climate change and the energy transition.
Prior to joining Energy Intelligence, Neill was a Senior Geoscientist for Baker Hughes, where he worked on a range of projects centered around production well performance and sustainability. This work was focused on Europe and Africa but has included various plays around the world. Neill has also worked for Energy UK as an Economist, researching and analyzing British energy policy.
Neill holds a BSc in geography with a specialization in geology from the University of Dundee and an MSc in climate change and renewable energy from Heriot Watt University.
