Dr. Stephanie Nitopi Karris is currently a Carbon Technology Strategist at Carbon Direct where she uses her expertise in carbon capture, utilization, and removal pathways to inform investment decisions and provide strategic advisory services to clients. After completing her PhD in Chemical Engineering at Stanford University studying how to catalytically convert carbon dioxide into valuable products such as fuels and chemicals with the aid of electricity, Dr. Karris founded and managed her own carbontech consulting firm CarbonSNK LLC. She also brings diverse skills and perspectives from her stints in R&D and procurement/finance with Fortune 500 pharmaceutical and energy companies. Dr. Karris received her BS in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
