Andrew Zoeller is a Manager of Energy Intelligence Research. Key focus areas of Energy Intelligence Research include the energy transition, corporate strategy and competitor intelligence, oil and gas/LNG markets, and aboveground risk.

Andrew leads Risk Research, conducting analysis of operating and investment conditions in oil and gas-producing countries, as well as broader macroeconomic, geopolitical and energy transition risks facing the sector. He is responsible for the data models supporting the Country Risk Index, our proprietary aboveground risk ranking tool, covering more than 60 countries ranked across 34 individual factors, as well as the Transition Risk Index, Energy Intelligence’s proprietary benchmarking of countries’ resilience and adaptation to the energy transition. In addition, Andrew leads coverage of Latin America across all Research areas and bespoke Advisory engagements.

Prior to joining Energy Intelligence, Andrew worked for Garten Rothkopf, analyzing economic, policy, regulatory and market factors for the commercial implementation of energy efficiency, demand response and small renewable technologies. He also worked at IW Financial (acquired by Institutional Shareholder Services), researching environmental, social and governance issues, focusing on the oil and gas, utility and mining sectors.

Andrew holds an MA in international affairs and economics from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and a BA in economic and international studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
