Bhautik Agrawal is a final-year petroleum undergraduate student at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India. He is the current President of the SPE chapter of the university. Mr Bhautik has completed a summer research internship on "Numerical Simulation of Geothermal Reservoirs" at the University of Alberta, Canada.

Mr Bhautik is among the brightest scholars and along with being active in all the extracurricular activities, he has maintained top positions in academia. He is also working as a Student Placement and Training Coordinator at the Career Development Cell of the university.

Mr Bhautik was declared the winner at the SPE South Asia Regional Paper Contest and was also selected for the International Petroleum Technology Conference Education Week Program 2022, hosted by Saudi Aramco in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. At the Education week, his team went on to win the case studies organized by Schlumberger and ROGII. Mr Bhautik aims to research and contribute to the field of reservoir characterization and simulations, and has a core interest in the field of reservoir engineering.
