Shabbir Safiuddin is a Field Engineer with Baker Hughes in their upstream chemicals department. He is part of the company’s accelerated career development program and is based in Kuala Lumpur, where he supports his department’s Asia-Pacific operations.

Mr Safiuddin has field experience in proprietary automation and digitalization technology, helping companies make their production operations more efficient and alleviate their carbon footprint. Mr Safiuddin is excited to be in the energy industry during a time of massive transformation.

Mr Safiuddin graduated magna cum laude as a chemical engineer from the PETRONAS University of Technology. Outside of work, he is fond of going to the beach and is a certified scuba diver.
