Monica Enfield is Managing Director of both Energy Intelligence Research and Energy Intelligence Advisory. Key focus areas of Energy Intelligence Research include the energy transition, corporate strategy and competitor intelligence, oil and gas/LNG markets, and aboveground risk, while also providing Advisory support through bespoke consulting engagements on these core capabilities.

Throughout her career, Monica has managed research analyst teams and led advisory engagements for oil and gas industry clients. She also contributes to Competitive Intelligence Research, which assesses corporate strategies and growth trends of key international oil and gas companies. Monica is also focused on aboveground risk issues impacting regional, country and project-level investments. An African specialist by background, Monica leads the country risk practice on that region, with specific expertise in African national oil companies, local risk assessment and strategy development.

Prior to working at Energy Intelligence, Monica was the Director of Country Risk at PFC Energy, managing client offerings on national oil strategies and country risk. She has also participated in a number of external task groups, including contributing to a chapter on energy security in US Africa Policy Beyond the Bush Years: Recommendations for the Obama Administration with the Center for Strategic International Studies in Washington, DC.

Monica has a BA in political science from California State University, Stanislaus, and earned an MA in Arab studies from the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University.
