Kristen Weldon, Managing Director, is the Global Head of BlackRock Alternative Investors Sustainable Investing.

Prior to joining BlackRock in 2021, Ms Weldon was Global Head of ESG and Impact Investing at Partners Capital. Before this, Ms Weldon was with the Louis Dreyfus Company where she was Head of Food Innovation and Downstream Strategy and launched Louis Dreyfus Ventures, a sustainability-focused fund management group, from which she led the company's investment activities in the ag-tech and food technology industries.

Previously, Ms Weldon spent 13 years at Blackstone, where she was a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the London office for Hedge Fund Solutions. She started her career at JPMorgan on the interest rates derivatives sales and structuring team.

Ms Weldon sits on the Investment Advisory Board at the Cambridge University Endowment Fund and is an Independent Director at Castleton Commodities International. She was a Non-Executive Director at Carr’s Group from October 2020 to January 2022 and an Advisory Board Member at Stable Asset Management from July 2018 to April 2022. Ms Weldon is a Board Trustee at Child Bereavement UK. She was a Founding Board Member of 100 Women in Finance between 2007 and 2017 and was chair of the London Board from 2012 to 2014.

Ms Weldon has a Master of Science in strategy and leadership from London Business School, where she was a Sloan Fellow and earned a BSBA degree in finance and international business from Georgetown University.
