Daniel José Guzmán López is a passionate master's student of petroleum engineering at the University of Stavanger in Norway, with a focus on drilling and well engineering. Among other activities, he was a Petrobowl contestant, representing the university in the 2022 international competition. Mr Guzmán López holds a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia, for which he was awarded the cum laude distinction in 2018.

He has gained extensive experience as a Field Engineer in Drilling and Completion operations, working for multinational companies such as Halliburton and Weatherford. More recently, he served as a master's intern at Aker BP.

On the field, Mr. Guzmán López has had the opportunity to challenge himself as an Engineer and as a leader. He firmly believes that the oil and gas industry plays a significant role; his purpose is to contribute to its development and innovation to continue providing energy to the world.
