ENERGY LEADER FOR TOMORROW 2020
Emeka Richard Ochu is a Research Associate at the Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP), Columbia University, focusing on financial and policy analyses for clean energy applications, including carbon capture, and storage to power and industrial facilities. He joined CGEP following a mid-career Program in Economic Policy Management at the School of International and Policy Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University.
Prior to CGEP, Emeka was an Energy Economist at the Central Bank of Nigeria, where he managed national energy projects and published research on the electricity and gas industry to aid policy making. Previously, he worked in Banking, providing finance for renewable energy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Emeka holds an MSc. in Energy Economics from University of Aberdeen, and a BSc. with Honors in Economics from Abia State University, Nigeria.
