Ambassador Dóra Zombori is a Partner at Dentons, the world’s largest international law firm, where she draws on nearly 15 years of energy policy and diplomatic experience to support clients with interests across the Central and Eastern European region.

Before joining Dentons, Ms Zombori served as Deputy State Secretary for Energy Security at Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She also served as Ambassador-at-Large for Energy and Climate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade from 2021 to 2022 and as Chargé d’Affaires of the Hungarian Embassy in Washington, DC, between April and November 2020.

Earlier in her diplomatic career, Ms Zombori was Deputy Chief of Mission, First Counsellor for Energy and Political-Military Affairs at the Hungarian Embassy in Washington DC, and a Transatlantic Diplomatic Fellow at the US Department of State.

Ms Zombori has also served as Head of the Energy Security Unit at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and has held various other positions at the Ministry, including Energy Policy Advisor and Energy Policy Coordinator. She has received numerous Foreign Minister’s Awards as well as a US Assistant Secretary’s Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of her distinguished service.

Ambassador Zombori earned her MA in international relations from Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary. She has also studied political science at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark and Dublin City University, Ireland.
