Montri Rawanchaikul is the Chief Executive Officer of PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP), Thailand’s national E&P company. He brings more than 30 years of oil and gas E&P experience to help move the company forward on its path to sustainable growth.

For the last few years, Mr Rawanchaikul has been the driving force behind several key achievements of PTTEP, including the establishment of PTTEP’s foothold in the Middle East together with several successful acquisitions and over-sighting of all producing assets to strengthen long-term growth in Thailand and its neighboring countries.

When he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in October 2021, Mr Rawanchaikul committed to leading PTTEP to thrive by strengthening E&P core values while being responsible for the climate change agenda. Mr Rawanchaikul advocates carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiatives as he strongly believes in the company’s upstream capability to materialize CCS projects to help make the world a better place.

Mr Rawanchaikul holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Chiang Mai University, Thailand, a master’s degree in exploration geophysics from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and recently received an honorary doctorate degree in applied geophysics from Chiang Mai University, Thailand.

Mr Rawanchaikul began his career as a Geophysicist at PTTEP in 1991.
