In February 2023, Graham Stuart was appointed Minister of State in the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. Prior to that, Mr Stuart served as the Minister of State in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from September 2023 to February 2023. He was also the Minister of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office from July 2022 to September 2022.

Mr Stuart was elected as a Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness in 2005. He joined the Department for International Trade in January 2018 as Minister for Investment and was Minister for Exports from February 2020 until September 2021.

Mr Stuart was born in Carlisle. He attended school in Scotland before going to Selwyn College, Cambridge, to read philosophy and law. At Cambridge, he chaired the Cambridge University Conservative Association and founded “What’s On in Cambridge.” After university, Graham developed a successful publishing career and was a Cambridge City Council member from 1998 to 2004.
