Claudio Farina, Chief Strategy and Technology Officer at Snam, is responsible for corporate strategy, innovation and technology roadmap and ESG strategy. Before joining Snam in 2017, Mr Farina held various positions for nine years at Vodafone Italia, including Head of Financial Planning, Analysis and Business Intelligence and Head of Strategy.

From 2000 to 2008, he covered various roles at The Boston Consulting Group, progressing to Principal and gaining multi-sector experience in Infrastructure, Energy, Public Transport, Telecommunications and IT. In 1999 Mr Farina was a Researcher on industrial policies supporting technological innovation at the German Institute of Economic Research in Berlin. He specialized in i economics with a degree in political economy from the Catholic University in Milan. Mr Farina subsequently earned a postgraduate master’s in economics at Bocconi University. Passionate about start-up seeding, he was an Aspen Institute alumnus and a junior fellow from 2008 to 2010.
