Ahmad O. Al Khowaiter was appointed Executive Vice President of Technology & Innovation on April 1, 2023.
Prior to this role, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Aramco, a position he undertook in May 2015. He was Executive Director of Power Systems in 2014 and Chief Engineer from 2011 to 2014.
Mr Al Khowaiter joined Saudi Aramco in 1984, where he held various technical roles in oil and gas production organizations involving design, project management, commissioning, and operations, together with a number of supervisory, managerial and general management positions.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Saudi Aramco Development Co., King Abdulaziz City of Science & Technology and NEOM Energy and Water Company, to name a few.
Mr Al Khowaiter holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MSc as a Sloan Fellow from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
