Indrajit Roy is Professor of Global Development Politics at the University of York. He specialises in the transforming global order and its implications for development policies and practices across the world.

Professor Roy’s areas of expertise include emerging forms of multilateralism, political development, and innovations in inclusive policies pioneered by the global South. His edited volume titled Rising power, limited influence: The politics of Chinese investments in Europe and the Liberal International Order is forthcoming with Oxford University Press in 2023. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a frequent contributor to British and international media.

Professor Roy obtained his D.Phil from the University of Oxford.
