Patrick Lammers has been Chief Executive Officer of Skyborn Renewables since June 2024.
He earned his degree in industrial engineering from the University of The Hague between 1990 and 1994. Furthering his expertise, Mr Lammers completed several prestigious educational programs in digital strategy and executive leadership at institutions such as Harvard Business School, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, IMD and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Before joining Skyborn, Mr Lammers served as the Chief Operating Officer – Commercial at E.ON. In this role, he managed the energy supply for over 48 million customers across 12 European markets. His leadership was instrumental in navigating E.ON through the energy crisis of 2022-23, marked by geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions and rising sourcing prices. His tenure at E.ON was characterized by a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship, continuous improvement and performance management, all while seizing the significant opportunities presented by the energy transition.
Mr Lammers brings over 15 years of experience in the energy sector, coupled with a strong foundation in industries and markets outside the classic energy industry. From 2007 to 2009, he was Chief Executive Officer of the British group Dyson, and from 2005 to 2007, he served as Managing Director of Dureal, transforming it into a leading pan-European company for Adblue sales, marketing and production. After a period as a consultant at AEA Investors in New York, Mr Lammers joined Essent in 2010 as Managing Director of two subsidiaries, focusing on strategy and corporate integration. By 2012, he advanced to Senior Vice President of RWE retail and simultaneously held the Chief Commercial Officer role at Essent. His leadership culminated in his position as Chief Executive Officer of Essent from 2017 to 2021, overseeing the entire Dutch business and serving as SVP Western Europe Customer Solutions from 2019 to 2021. He also worked for Royal Dutch Shell for approximately 15 years, holding international functions in Downstream.
