Jacques Tohme has 20 years of investment and transaction experience principally focused on energy and natural resources. He most recently founded Samos Energy, a private equity platform to acquire and invest in traditional energy assets globally. Most recently, he led the Samos Energy acquisition of the Asian offshore energy infrastructure business of BlackRock and Petrofac. He has led investments into the LNG space.

Mr Tohme co-founded Tailwind Energy in London which later merged into Serica Energy plc (LSE: SQZ) which combined is the UK’s 3rd largest independent, listed, upstream energy producer. Prior to this, Tailwind transacted with ExxonMobil, Shell, EOG, ENI, BP and Oaktree, while having completed over $1bn in financings. Tailwind’s strategic partner was Mercuria Energy Trading.

Prior to that, Mr Tohme held several buy-side and investment banking roles in New York. Mr Tohme brings energy investing expertise, as well as a strong network of energy policymakers in the US. He has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University.
