ENERGY LEADER FOR TOMORROW 2025

Tom Le Manach is an energy engineer with a strong background in finance and geopolitics. Passionate about international ecosystems, global energy challenges, as well as the social and environmental aspects of the transition, he currently works as a Strategy and Investment Analyst at EDF’s Corporate Strategy Division. In this role, he analyzes long-term trends shaping the global energy landscape, provides insights on commodity and electricity markets, supports the international development of EDF entities and evaluates investment opportunities.

Before joining EDF’s strategy team, Mr Le Manach worked as a renewable energy project developer, gaining hands-on experience with the practical and regulatory challenges of energy deployment. He also participated in academic research at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), focusing on analytical chemistry applied to produced water treatment from offshore platforms.

Mr Le Manach holds a dual MSc of Energy from Mines Paris – PSL and of Chemistry from Chimie Paris Tech – PSL, where he was formerly a student and doctoral representative on the board of directors. He later specialized in energy markets, economics and geopolitics through an additional MSc from IFP School. He is also a member of the Young Energy Professionals network of the World Energy Council – France.
