Adif Zulkifli is the Executive Vice President and CEO of PETRONAS Gas & Maritime Business. In this role, he bears responsibility for leading the growth of PETRONAS’ LNG business, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable operations across the gas value chain, and the alignment of PETRONAS’ maritime strategy. Under his leadership, PETRONAS’ LNG business has been active in expanding its supply node most notably the recent first cargo from PETRONAS’ joint venture project LNG Canada, and multiple offtake agreements with the producers from the United States, providing flexibility to the LNG marketing and trading portfolio.
Prior to this role he was the EVP & CEO of Upstream Business where he was responsible for PETRONAS’ Upstream Business strategy, operations and activities across more than 20 countries globally which includes exploration, production, and development of oil and gas as well as carbon management. Under his stewardship, Upstream instituted the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) as a new business stream in alignment with the New Business growth aspiration in PETRONAS’ Energy Transition Strategy.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Illinois, United States.
