Faisal Devji is Beit Professor of Global and Imperial History and Fellow of Balliol College, Oxford. His research focusses on intellectual history and political thought, dealing in particular with modern South Asian politics and the globalization of Islam. Devji is the author of five books, most recenty Waning Crescent: The Rise and Fall of Global Islam (Yale 2025).
