Izzy Woolgar is Director of External Affairs at Centre for Net Zero (CNZ), a non-profit energy research and AI institute forecasting the future of energy demand. Founded by Octopus Energy, but operating autonomously, CNZ publishes its work openly for the benefit of governments, policymakers and grid operators. Izzy uses CNZ’s research to drive evidence-based policy-making, accurate forecasting and the accelerated decarbonisation of global energy systems.

A specialist in strategic communications, Izzy has spent the last decade advising global tech and energy blue chips including Centrica and BP. Izzy holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cambridge.
