Ryan Cheng is a dual master's student at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA), specializing in energy finance and economic development.

He currently works at the International Energy Agency as an analyst in the Energy Investment Unit under the Office of the Chief Economist, researching how governments and institutions mobilize investment in energy security and the energy transition.

Prior to his studies, Mr Cheng was a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group in Canada, where he led engagements with multinational clients across the energy, mining, banking, and private equity sectors.
