Casey Merriman is the Western Hemisphere Editorial Director and Head of the Competitive Intelligence Service for Energy Intelligence.
In those roles, she helps direct the company’s editorial coverage across its Houston, Washington and New York bureaus, as well as its global corporate strategy news and analysis offering.
Casey joined Energy Intelligence in 2008, covering the US upstream sector and rise of shale. She has edited several publications, including Energy Intelligence Finance, Petroleum Intelligence Weekly and Energy Intelligence Premium.
Her own writing focuses heavily on the evolving risks and uncertainties facing the oil and gas sector, corporate strategies, particularly those of the Western majors, US tight oil, and drawing connections between corporate and oil market trends.
Previously, Casey worked at Argus Media and the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy’s Energy Forum.
She graduated cum laude from Rice University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
