TODAY'S ENERGY SHOCK
The world is navigating its greatest energy challenge in a generation. War in Europe has upended corporate strategies and government policies. Energy geopolitics and security of supply are back at the top of the agenda.
Everyone – politicians, executives and broader society – feels whiplashed by events. Companies and governments suddenly face conflicting pressures to provide more oil and gas supply now, while maintaining or accelerating the low-carbon transition.
How will they resolve this? What is the best balance of fossil fuels, renewables and nuclear power? The safest, quickest road to energy security and independence? At the 2022 Energy Intelligence Forum, decision-makers and innovators from the worlds of energy, finance, politics and civil society will debate how to navigate volatility and uncertainty to forge an energy future that is reliable, affordable and clean.
Energy Intelligence has announced that H.E. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, has been named as Energy Intelligence’s Energy Executive of the Year for 2022.
The award recognizes Mr. Al-Kaabi’s pivotal role in developing Qatar’s world-leading natural gas capabilities over the last decade, and his timely and ambitious decisions to ensure the country remains dominant in global LNG for decades to come.
The Energy Executive of the Year Award is the international energy industry’s most prestigious honor given in recognition of outstanding executive leadership in the energy sector. >>>
